CONDITIONS OF ADOPTION CONTRACT
If the Elkhound Rescue Fund offers you an Elkhound it is on the understanding that the following conditions are agreed with and adhered to without reservation.
(1) That you, the adopter,will be entirely responsible for the Elkhound's keep, health and welfare.
(2) That you agree to indemnify the Elkhound Rescue Fund, its Officers, Committee, Officials and Members, against any claim for injury or damage caused by the Elkhound,either directly or indirectly.
(3) That if, for any reason, you are unable to keep the Elkhound after it has been placed in your care, you will return the Elkhound to the ERF and on no account allow it to pass into other hands.
(4) That any change in your address, telephone number and location of the Elkhound must be notified to the Secretary of the ERF as soon as possible.
(5) That in no circumstances shall the Elkhound be used for breeding purposes and shall not be exhibited at any Shows other than exemption or companion shows.
(6) That whilst everycare is taken, the ERF gives no warranty or representation as to the quality, fitness, health or temperament of the Elkhound, or that it will be suitable for any particular purpose.
(7) That authorised representatives of the Fund be allowed to visit your premises from time to time, with reasonable prior notice and to reclaim the Elkhound, shouldthey not be entirely satisfied with the Elkhound's safety or welfare, or if there has been a breach of this contract.
(8) That the Elkhound will not be taken out of the country, without first obtaining the written consent of theERF. Exceptions to this are holidays abroad under the Pet Passport Scheme, but for owners with property abroad, who intend to spend long periods out of the UK, the Fund require a contact address and phone number in case of emergency.
(9) That when you take possession of an Elkhound through the ERF, you will send a donation, made payable to " The Elkhound Rescue Fund", to the ERF Treasurer: Mr.A.Brewin, Lion House, Scalford Brickyard, Scalford, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, LEI44SS
